Issuing the Invoice

  1. From the preview, check the Invoice date. It defaults to today.
  2. Set a Due date if the shop is on credit terms.
  3. Add Notes on the invoice if something needs to print on the document.
  4. Click Issue invoice.

You land on the invoice's own page with its number — for example INV/2026-27/000318.

What issuing does, and what it does not

It does: take the next number from the statutory series, freeze the tax snapshot, and create the document you hand the shop.

It does not: move stock, and it does not yet book anything in your ledger. The invoice page says this in plain words under Books: the invoice is not booked and no receivable has been raised against it. That hand-over waits for the delivery step in a later release. The document itself, its number and its tax are final.

Issuing the same order twice

You cannot. Once an order has an invoice, the order page shows View invoice instead of Generate invoice, and asking again returns the invoice that already exists rather than making a second one.
