Managing Your Profile

Profile shows your personal details as they appear across the console — the name and initials in the top toolbar come from here. The card at the top previews your initials avatar, your role badge, your display name, and your @username.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Profile. The Settings entry is pinned at the bottom of the sidebar, and it is also in the account menu at the top right. Everyone who can sign in can open Profile.
  2. Edit the fields under Personal Details:
    • First Name (required)
    • Last Name (required)
    • Email — optional, but must be a valid address if filled in
    • Username — read-only. Your username is your sign-in identity and cannot be changed.
  3. Save from the amber unsaved-changes bar. Your name and initials in the top toolbar update immediately after the save.

If the profile fails to load or save, use the Retry button or ask an administrator if it keeps happening.

Fields greyed out? Only people whose role includes user-management access can change names and emails. Everyone else sees their details read-only, with the note "Only an admin can change your name and email". Ask your admin if yours need updating. You can still connect your Google account below.

Connecting your Google account

If your company uses Google accounts, connect your Google account here so you can sign in without a password. You can connect it at any time; signing in with it works once your admin turns on Google sign-in (see Letting Staff Sign In with Google). The Google Account card only appears when Google sign-in is set up on your console.

  1. Open Settings → Profile and scroll to the Google Account card.
  2. Under Connect Google account, click Continue with Google. A small Google window opens.
  3. Pick your company Google account. The window closes and the card shows Connected, your Google email, and the date you connected it.

From then on, type your Domain on the login page and click Sign in with Google. Your password keeps working too. See Signing In with Google.

If connecting fails, the card says why:

  • "This Google account isn't allowed for this domain." Your admin has limited Google sign-in to company domains (under Allowed email domains), and the account you picked isn't one of them, for example a personal Gmail. Pick your company Google account.
  • That Google account is already connected to another user. Someone else in your company connected it first. Pick a different account, or ask your admin to disconnect it from the other user.
  • You already have a different Google account connected. Each user can have one Google account. Disconnect the current one first (below), then connect the new one.

Disconnecting

  1. On the Google Account card, click Disconnect.
  2. Confirm in the dialog. You can no longer sign in with that Google account. Your password still works.
