Switching Between Light and Dark
The console comes in two looks — light and dark — and you choose which one you see. You can also let it follow your computer, so it turns dark in the evening along with everything else on your screen.
Pick a theme
- Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar. General is the first section and opens by default.
- Scroll to Appearance → Theme, below Console language.
- Click one of the three buttons:
- Light — always the light look on this device.
- Dark — always the dark look on this device.
- System — follow your computer's own appearance setting and switch with it.
- The console repaints straight away. There is nothing to save — the line under the buttons confirms what is now in force ("Always dark on this device", or "Following your device — currently dark").
Switch it from anywhere
You don't have to open Settings every time. The console toolbar — top right, next to the language globe — has a sun or moon button. Click it and pick Light, Dark, or System from the short menu. The icon shows the look you're currently in, and the tick marks the choice in force.
Both places control the same setting, so a change in one shows up in the other.
What the choice applies to
- This device and this browser only. Your teammates keep their own choice, and signing in on a different computer or phone starts fresh there.
- Everything in the console follows the theme: lists, forms, filters, dashboards, reports, and charts.
- It is not part of your workspace's regional defaults, so it never appears in the amber unsaved-changes bar.
If you picked System
System keeps watching your computer. When your operating system switches to dark in the evening, the console switches with it — no reload, no second click. Pick Light or Dark instead if you want the console to stay put regardless of what your computer does.
