General Settings
General holds the regional defaults that apply across every store in your workspace — how dates look, when the week starts, and where the console lands after sign-in — plus your own display language and light/dark preference for the console UI.
Set the workspace regional defaults
- Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar (General is the first section, shown by default).
- Under Regional defaults, pick a value in each dropdown:
- Time zone — used for scheduling and operational timestamps (e.g. Asia/Dubai, Europe/London).
- Locale — the default language applied to dashboards and emails (e.g. en-US, en-GB).
- Date format — controls how dates appear in reports and exports (e.g.
MMM d, yyyy,dd/MM/yyyy). - Week starts on — Monday, Sunday, or Saturday; sets the first day of the week for calendars and reports.
- Default landing page — the page shown right after sign-in: Dashboard, Sales History, Items, Inventory, or Reports.
- The amber unsaved-changes bar appears as soon as you change anything — click Save there (or Discard to undo).
These are workspace-wide settings: they apply to all stores and all users in this tenant, not just to you.
Choose your console language
Below the regional defaults is a separate Console language section.
- Open the Language dropdown and pick the language the console UI should display in.
- The console switches immediately — no save needed.
This is a personal preference — it only changes what you see, and it's separate from the workspace's regional Locale above.
Choose light or dark
At the bottom of the page, Appearance → Theme switches the console between the light and dark looks, or lets it follow your computer. Like the language above it, this is a personal, per-device choice and needs no saving — see Switching Between Light and Dark.
