Getting Around (Sidebar Navigation)
The sidebar on the left is how you move between every area of the console — Items, Sales, Reports, Settings, and the rest.
- Single-screen entries like Home and Reports open as soon as you click them.
- Entries with several screens inside (for example Items or Sales) expand when you click them, showing their screens underneath. Click the group again to tuck them away.
- The group holding the screen you're currently on opens automatically and stays highlighted, so you always know where you are.
- Settings stays pinned at the bottom of the sidebar, always one glance away.
Collapse the sidebar
Need more room for your work area? Shrink the sidebar down to a slim icon rail:
- Look at the top of the sidebar, to the right of the iotoms logo, for the collapse button (a small panel-with-arrow icon).
- Click it — the sidebar shrinks to a column of icons and your work area widens.
- The icons work just like the full sidebar:
- Single-screen entries like Home and Reports open straight away. Hover over any icon to see its name.
- Group icons (for example Items or Sales) open a small panel next to the rail listing that group's screens — click one to go there. Press Esc or click anywhere else to close the panel.
- The icon for the area you're working in stays highlighted, so you never lose your place.
- Click the same button — now sitting under the logo mark — to bring the full sidebar back.
Your choice is remembered on this browser — if you collapse the sidebar, it stays collapsed the next time you sign in.
Note: on a phone or small screen the sidebar already works as a slide-out menu, so the collapse button only appears on larger screens.
