Changing the Date Range

By default the Dashboard shows this month — the 1st of the current month up to today. Opening on a single day tended to show an empty screen first thing in the morning; the month always has something in it.

  1. Find the date bar in the top-right corner of the page — a row of buttons reading Today, Week, Month, Year, and Custom. The one currently in use is highlighted.
  2. Click Today, Week, Month, or Year — the page reloads immediately with that period. Week, Month and Year all run from the start of the current week, month or year up to today.
  3. For your own dates, click Custom. In the panel that opens, use the Custom Range date fields to pick a start and end date. The panel also has a Previous month quick pick.
  4. Confirm a custom range via the amber unsaved-changes bar that appears at the bottom of the screen — click Save to apply, or Discard to cancel.

What the date does and doesn't change

  • It changes the three period cells at the top of the money strip — Sales, Purchases and Expenses — and the operational cards below them.
  • It does not change the three balance cells — Cash & Bank, Customer Balance and Supplier Balance. Those are marked As of now and always show where you stand today. See Your Money Numbers.

Cards that only apply to "Today"

Some cards only make sense for "today" and disappear for other ranges — specifically the payment Tender Breakdown figures and the In Field / route-coverage cards, since those track the currently-open day cycle, not a historical range.
