Action Items and Status

The Action items panel, on the right below the money strip, is the one list that answers "is there anything I have to do right now?". Everything in it is a real count from your own data.

  1. Open Dashboard from the navigation.
  2. Read the badge in the panel header before anything else. It says All clear when nothing needs you, or 2 open (or whatever the count is) when something does — the answer to "do I have to do anything?" without reading a single row.
  3. Read the list top to bottom. Anything that needs you is at the top, in full colour and full weight; anything that is fine sits underneath in lighter grey, with a small tick.
  4. Rows that need action are clickable and show a › on the right:
    • POs awaiting approval — opens Purchase Orders filtered to Submitted, with the total value waiting shown underneath.
    • Overdue 90+ days — opens the receivables aging report. The line underneath tells you what share of your total customer balance is that old.
    • Items below reorder point — opens the Inventory list filtered to low stock.
    • Owed to suppliers — opens the trial balance.
    • Store credit outstanding — opens the Store Credit report.
  5. The quiet rows underneath are not clickable — there is nothing on the other side to look at. They are still listed on purpose: "Inventory — nothing below reorder point" tells you the check ran and passed, which an empty space wouldn't. They are deliberately understated so a list of all-clears never looks like a list of jobs waiting.

The status strip at the bottom of the page

At the foot of the Dashboard, the same three operational areas are repeated as figures rather than tasks, so you can read the amounts without opening anything:

  • Inventory — how many items are below their reorder point, with an OK or N LOW badge. Click it to open Inventory filtered to low stock.
  • Procurement — the value of purchase orders awaiting approval, with a N PENDING badge. Click it to open Purchase Orders filtered to Submitted.
  • Finance — outstanding store credit and how many customers are carrying a balance. Click it to open the Store Credit report.

Why a row might not be there

Every row only appears when your role has access to that area at all. A role without purchasing sees no purchase-order row — not a locked one, and not an empty one. If you have access to none of these areas, the whole panel is absent.
