Expired Quotes and Duplicating

What "Expired" means

A quotation you sent, whose Valid Until date has passed, reads Expired. Nothing had to run overnight for that to be true — it is worked out from the date every time the quote is read, so your list is never quietly out of date.

An expired quotation cannot be accepted. Its prices had a window and the window closed.

Re-offering: duplicate it

  1. Open the expired (or lost) quotation, or find it in the list.
  2. Click Duplicate as new quote — it is also on the ⋮ menu of every row in the list.
  3. A brand-new draft opens with the same customer, store, items, quantities and prices, its own new quote number, and a fresh validity window starting today.
  4. Change whatever the new conversation needs, then save.

The original stays exactly as it was. One quotation is one document: a re-quote is a new offer with its own number, not a second version of the old one. That way the number you gave the customer in August still says what it said in August.

Deleting a draft

A quotation that has never been sent can be deleted outright: open it and click Delete. You are asked to confirm, because the lines go with it.

Anything that has been sent cannot be deleted. The customer has seen it, so it stays on record.
