Assigning Scopes (Which Registers See It)

A configuration won't reach any device until it has at least one scope assignment telling the system which registers, stores, or venues should receive it.

1. Open the configuration's detail page and click + Assign Scope.
2. Choose a Scope Type: Register, Store, Venue, or All (global — applies everywhere).
3. Unless you chose "All", pick the specific register, store, or venue from the dropdown (it loads the matching list for you).
4. Optionally set an Effective From / Effective To date range to control when the assignment is active; leave "To" open for no end date.
5. Toggle Active on or off.
6. Save — the new assignment appears in the Scopes table on the detail page, showing scope type, reference, effective dates, and active status.

If more than one scope could match the same register, the more specific one wins: Register beats Store, which beats Venue, which beats All.
