What Notifications Does
Notifications keeps you informed about what's happening across your business without you having to go looking — new orders coming in from the field, low stock warnings, routes being assigned, day cycles closing, returns being filed, and announcements from your admins. Everything lands in one place: the notification bell at the top-right of every page.
The pieces
- The notification bell (top toolbar, every page) — your inbox. A red badge shows how many unread notifications you have; clicking a notification takes you straight to the relevant screen. See Reading Notifications from the Bell.
- Notification Preferences (
/notifications/preferences) — per-category switches that control which kinds of notifications reach you. See Choosing Which Notifications You Receive. - Broadcast Message (
/notifications/broadcast) — for admins: send an announcement to specific users, a whole role, or everyone in the tenant. See Sending a Broadcast to Your Team.
Both screens live under the Notifications section of the sidebar.
What kinds of notifications exist
Notifications are grouped into five groups, each with its own badge colour in the bell:
| Group | Categories |
|---|---|
| Operations | Route Assigned, Day Cycle Closed |
| Inventory | Low Stock, Adjustment |
| Transactions | New Order, Order Status, Return Filed |
| Admin Broadcast | Broadcast (announcements sent by your admins) |
| Marketing | Marketing |
Browser push (optional)
The first time you use the dashboard with notifications enabled, your browser may ask permission to show notifications. If you allow it, you'll also get desktop push notifications while the dashboard is open — and the bell refreshes instantly when one arrives. If you decline (or your browser doesn't support push), nothing breaks: the bell still updates itself automatically every 30 seconds.
Who sees what
- The bell and the Preferences page require the Notifications feature on your role.
- The Broadcast page additionally requires the Broadcast feature — typically admins only. If you don't have it, the page simply won't appear in your sidebar.
