Filtering and Searching Sales
Once the date range has loaded the transactions you care about, use the search bar to narrow the list to a specific sale, invoice, or store.
Searching
- Click into the search bar (placeholder: "Search by transaction ID, invoice, store…") at the left of the toolbar.
- Type your term and press Enter — it becomes a chip, and the list narrows immediately.
- The search matches against the Transaction ID, Invoice #, Store name, and Payment Mode, and it's not case-sensitive —
inv-104, a store's name, orcashall work. - To clear a term, click the × on its chip (or press Backspace in the empty search bar to remove the last chip). The full list for the date range comes back.
Two things to know:
- Search only looks within the loaded date range. If a transaction isn't from the selected period, no search will find it — widen the range first (see Changing the Date Range).
- Keep it to one term or one exact phrase. Multiple chips are combined into a single phrase rather than applied as separate filters, so searching one thing at a time gives the most predictable results.
Choosing which columns you see
Click the column icon at the right end of the toolbar to open the column chooser, and tick columns on or off. Handy when you want a compact view — say, just Invoice #, Store, and Amount.
Paging through results
The footer below the list shows the total count for your current range and search. Use the pager to move between pages, and the rows-per-page control to show 10, 25, 50, or 100 rows. Changing the search resets you to page 1.
