Tips and FAQ
-
How do I send a message vs. start a new line? Enter sends; Shift+Enter adds a new line. There's also a send (arrow) button at the bottom-right of the message box.
-
Why can't I get it to create anything? Creating and updating records needs the AI Agent, a separate plan feature. Without it the assistant answers questions as usual, but the paperclip and the action templates are hidden and an instruction is treated as an ordinary question. Also check your phrasing: a question ("how do I create a customer?") is always answered, never acted on — say "Create a customer named…" to start a draft.
-
My question got the answer "invalid input" — what happened? The message likely contained a link, code, or database-style wording. Rephrase it as a plain sentence — "Show me sales by brand for this month" — and it will go through.
-
My proposal expired before I confirmed. Did anything get saved? No. An expired (or cancelled) proposal saves nothing. Submit the description again to get a fresh proposal.
-
Can I fix a field the AI extracted wrong? Yes — every field on the proposal card is editable before you confirm (except the customer number on updates, which is locked). Always give the card a once-over; that review step is the whole point of propose-and-confirm.
-
The answer looks off — how do I double-check it? Look at the data line above the figures — it names what was checked and over what date range and stores — then verify the figure in the matching report. The assistant can make mistakes, so treat important numbers as "verify before acting" — see What the Assistant Can and Can't Do.
-
Where did my old conversations go? Recents are kept only in your browser for the current session, so they disappear after the browser session ends (or when you click Clear in the Assistant panel). Copy anything you need to keep into your own notes.
-
Can I re-run the guided tour? Yes — click Show me how at the bottom of the Assistant panel on the AI Assistant page any time.
-
How do I get better answers? Be specific about the metric and the period ("top 10 items by revenue for this month" beats "how are sales"), start from a Template and tweak it, and ask one thing per message.
